Brooklyn Boo

i don't know what I am going to do with little Miss Brooklyn. She was a MESS yesterday! I was working out yesterday and she was trying to as well when Jack started crying. I paused the video and tried to tend to Jack. I went into the other room to get a diaper when while I was gone Brooklyn bit jack on the hand...HARD..leaving marks! I was furious needless to say. I spanked her...bit her back and put her to bed for her nap. I don't know what I am going to do with her. After her nap she purposely peed...full on puddles...on every floor in each room of the house! I know she is starving for attention, but I seriously don't know how to balance everything. Today so far has been much better. Any ideas??? Wish me luck!

Oh Britni! I know the feeling. I am still working on that, making each of my kids feel like I spend good time with them. When Eli was a baby last year, and I would have to always drop what I was doing to feed or change or whatever, I know Jonah would get a little bugged. That is so great that you are doing preschool with Brooklyn. I would always tell Jonah when we did preschool how cool it was that I was doing something just with him and how special he was. I would make sure he was aware that Eli was sleeping so we could do whatever HE wanted. Then when Eli would cry later in the day, I would just remind him that I had Jonah time earlier, and now it is Eli's turn with mom. That seemed to work out sometimes.
Good luck, it is a big adjustment for a few months, but she will soon get over it. :)

Hey Girl! Hang in there. I feel your pain! Both my kids had a hard time adjusting. It doesn't help that you are tired. My suggestions are first, you need to get as much of a good night sleep as you can! Next, what Brooke said...make a big deal when you spend one on one time with her. But also, I couldn't leave Clair alone with Bowen...she didn't ever bite him, but she would do things like pour baby shampoo all over his head and stuff like that. I just didn't ever leave her unattented even for a second with Bowen. It is a pain for you, but it removes the temptation from Brooklyn. It will get better. Next time have her go get the diaper. Make it a game..."How fast can you run and go get Jack's diaper...I'm going to count and see! Go!" And I am sure you do this, but also, praise her any time she does something sweet to Jack! Does Joel take her out on dates. My girls always responded really well to this...be really good and daddy will take you on a date...to the park, to McD's, to a movie, to a football game. I know Joel's time is limited right now. As for the peeing...well, I have no idea what to tell you. Heck we just got Clair going for a couple days at a time with no pee-pee pants. Good luck and call me anytime for a peptalk!
