Tonight was such a fun FHE. I had a little lesson on Faith planned, but Brooklyn wanted to do some things of her own. We started out and I was going to conduct (as usual), but Brooklyn wanted to do it..so she did. She welcomed everybody to FHE and said today mom is Presiding, in which I laughed and Joel corrected her. She then proceeded for us to sing the opening song her pick: Twinkle Twinkle little Star. She turned the time over to me and I gave a 2 minute lesson on Faith. In it I asked her a few questions.
Me: Brooklyn can you see Heavenly Father?
Brooklyn: No.
Me: How do you know he is there?
Brooklyn: I think about him when I pray.
Me: (thinking to myself out loud) what else is something that I can't see but know is there
Brooklyn: I know Grammie and Pops!
Joel: Right
Brooklyn: I know they are a long ways away!
Our lesson continued with me continuing to talk about faith. Due to time we are going to plant tomato and strawberries tomorrow because Brooklyn really wanted to write a little boy a letter. She went on a little trip tonight with her dad and I guess she asked him how Coach Soto's nephew was doing (he has leukemia) . She decided she should write him a letter. She is so funny! We then sang I am a Child of God (Joel had to persuade her to sing a church song) and she lead the music. JACK starting mimicking her for the first time! I thought he had waved to Joel a while back, but she would quit and he would quit. Then we started to ask him to do it and he was conducting too! It was so cute!
