Fun Week!

This week we went to Gilmer. We have had such a fun week and a half or so and have jam packed everyday to the fullest. After little Noah was born his grandmother Janet (Nick's Mom) stayed with him this week, so mom went to Gilmer and the kids and I did too. On Monday Brooklyn went to Gymnastics and then swim before we left. She loves both and was so sad that she had missed soccer. This week is the last week of soccer so I will take pics of that and post later. Back to the trip...the drive was awful! Jack screamed the whole way and we still aren't real sure way other than he just doesn't like to travel. He did have this red spot on his back that the car seat had rubbed, but I am not sold that that was the reason. Wish us luck when we drive to South Carolina in July! As we drove up to turn off on to an oil road (for those of you that don't know east texas is full of pine trees and really green like the rest of the south) Brooklyn hold her hands together and says, "OOH mom this is like a spooky forest!" I laughed so hard, because growing up and driving down those roads late at night that is exactly what I thought. When we finally arrived the kids were so excited to finally be out of the car and run around. Brooklyn loved that Pops took her to the garden and showed her the deer tracks and were they had been eating his pea plants. We went back right before we left and she told mom all about it. The next morning we got up and went to eat lunch with Grammie and then to Nana and Pa's house. Pa's son Corey was in from California and so they were off for the day and we had fun visiting with them. Nana got out her embroidery machine and let me go to work on some projects. It was fun to sew with Nana, I wish I could do more with her. We then went and spent the day with Grandaddy and MaMaw which is always fun as well. Brooklyn always gets out the dolls and loves to play dress up with them. Grandaddy was working on the tractor so we went to the garden to see him and take a look at his fruits and veggies. It is so fun being out there were things are more relaxed the important things in life are the things that come first. They remind me to slow down and enjoy my kids and family. That night we came home and ate dinner then watched American Idol. Brooklyn really loves AI and is a proud supporter of David Archuletta, she was sad he lost on Wednesday. Joel will put both Davids music on and she knows which one is singing. It is so funny! The next day we went to eat lunch again, but went to Subway which is a big hit in Gilmer. Who knew! The line was out the door. I love spending time with mom and having to ask her a billion times, "Now who is that again?" I can't recognize anybody or remember them as well. Then we will get off on old stories about the person and such...good times. Brooklyn had to have a nap starting this day and the remainder of the trip because she starting waking up at 5:30 with Pops and helped let Buddy out and such. She was exhausted by the time her nap rolled around. The next day we went and picked blackberries and enjoyed a nice east texas day. Brooklyn and I took our wal-mart sack out to the garden (which we got in trouble for by grandaddy because we should've know that using buckets make it so much faster to pic and then your transport into the sack..oops!) and picked a way. She told me that I need to help her because her bag was "shaken like the leaves" She did'nt last too long because her babies inside need their diapers changed. Later that night we went to Tele's a popular place to eat mexican food in rural gilmer. We met up with Terry and Donna's bunch. It was so fun to see miss lexi and find out that Brooke and Jarod are having a girl. I have got to get my projects going for that little one. We missed you Keirsten! On friday we relaxed at home! We did go eat one last time at yes Subway again, and Nana met us. Afterward I took Brooklyn to Wal-Mart and we spent some time with Nana on pickin out material for some projects. I made a lot of projects while I was in Gilmer. I will have to post them later, but Brooklyn's favorite is her Care Bears shirt and her Princess pillow. They sound white trash I know, but she LOVES them! After their naps we finally blew up the pool that mom at bought for them to play in. Jack loved it and Brooklyn didn't then Brookly loved it and Jack didn't. I was by myself so it was a little hectic because I was nervous with Jack balancing and stuff. It ended up being good though. Yesterday we went to Dallas to my cousin Justin's wedding. They were such a cute couple. Brooklyn and Jack had enough by the end, but for the most part were really good. That is were I got most of the good pics. I am going to frame some of them, but I want to send them somewhere beside wal-mart...need to scope that one out. We got home late last night and Joel had spent 5 hours cleaning my house and it felt WONDERFUL! He cleaned the fridge, baseboards, windows, bathrooms, you name it he cleaned it. THANKS BABE! It was nice to get a good nights rest in my own bed and sleep in. Mom stayed with us and she got up with the kids since we didn't have to be at church until 1:00. I love being home, but I also love MY home. It was a fun week and look forward in seeing my little nephew Noah soon again. I bet he has already changed again. Brooklyn is already with her Mimi and Papa tonight!~ She can't stay at home for very long...who does that sound like?

What a update! You are so much better at updating than I am. I spend all my time reading eveyrone elses life instead of journaling mine. I love the picture of Jack through the porch rails. That is too cute! We need to get together soon. My last day is June 6th and then things will start to slow down with me. I've made way to many life changes at one time. New job...baby on the way!! I feel like I'm just running in circles. I can't imagine what it is going to be like to add a baby into the picture.
