AHHH! I finally feel FREE! Jack is done with nursing. I thought he was going to be extremely hard to wean. I was really nervous and sweatin it, but it turns out it wasn't that bad. He hasn't nursed since last Thursday night. I had Youth Conference and he was asleep when I got him home so I just quietly put him in the bed and left the room. I was a little nervous, but the next night the same thing sort of. So Saturday night I was REALLY nervous because he was back to his ole routine, but after lotion he did fine. I read him a book and then laid him in his crib and that was it. So we have replaced nursing with book reading which is GREAT! And it all happened BEFORE he was 1. I just knew he was going to be one of those kids that ALWAYS wanted it. I think really he has figured out that food is actually what he wants because it stays with him longer. YIPEEE for MEEEE!
Oh, I just wanted to add some recent Brookllyn-isms.
So as some of you know Brooklyn is really good at finding my cell phone and sneaking off in another room and calling the last person that I have called. So the other day she calls my mom and is trying to find Emily so that she can have a late night with her.
Mom: Hello?
B: Grammie I just need to know what my Aunt Emily's phone number is. Do you know it?
Mom: No, Brooklyn I sure don't.
B: Well, thats all that I need Talk to you later...Bye!
Then she hangs up the phone.
Another conversation with my mom:
Mom: Brooklyn what are you watching on TV
Brooklyn (whom is more interested in the tv than actually talking to Grammie) Some hideous show that mom put on why she works!
Okay so she really likes the word hideous. This is a conversation with Aunt Emily:
Em: (kidding w/Brooklyn on their way to the movies) Brooklyn lets not go to the movies and just go to that park over there.
B: Aunt Emily we are going to the movies and I don't want to hear any other HIDEOUS ideas!
My favorite:
We are at church and going to the bathroom when we see a picture of President Hinckley (our past prophet who recently died)
B: Mom, I am so thankful that President Hinckley died for us.
Me: (I am trying to actually teach her, and not laugh) Oh, President Hinckley didn't die for us Jesus did. Yes, he recently died, but just because his body was old. His spirit is now with God.
B: Oh, I didn't know that.

Yeah for no more nursing!
Brooklyn says the cutest things. You will be so happy one day you documented those!
don't forget in the one where she called me for Aunt Emily's phone number, when I told her I didn't have it, she did say, "Ok, thanks for trying." We have to give her credit for being polite.
I really like the word hideous too! I also really like Brooklyn...she is so cute! I can't wait till she comes to SC...and the rest of the family of course!
She sounds like such a little grown-up. The things they come with... I loved it.
Thanks for sharing :)
I'm so jealous that you are free of breast feeding! It's such a great thing but is also so bounding! I can't wait until next year when I can wean Camberley. Brooklyn is so smart and so cute. I love it!
