We are so embarrassed...

Okay so Brooklyn has been begging us for months to let her bear her testimony in church. Our rule is you have to go up by yourself and you have to say it ALL on your own. Because it is your testimony. Brooklyn was on one of her many potty breaks during sacrament and on the way out she said, "Mommy I really want to go up and bear my testimony." I said well Brooklyn you have to practice for me first so we stopped in the hall way and she said word for word...."I like to bear my testimony that I love my mommy and daddy and Jack even though I tease him sometimes. I love Jesus. I am a Child of God. I say these things in the name of thy Son Jesus Christ, Amen." I was BLOWN away. I thought okay if she can go back in there and repeat that for Joel then why not I guess. She did and we looked at each other like really? Should we? Then I thought she is asking us if she can do something that is righteous and she has her testimony down really well for a 3 year old. So, Joel walked with her up to the front row and then made her do the rest. She got up there and just tapped on the microphone like it wasn't on. A member of the Bishopric came up to tell her it was on and she wouldn't say a word! I was so embarrassed! Joel went up there and pulled her down. EEEKKS! I guess this is one of our many embarrasments to come.

I don't think you should be embarrassed. It is just great that she wanted to and that is all that matters. She will get the courage to do it one day.

I don't know who anonymous is, but I agree with them. I think this had to happen, so that she knows that there are a lot of people up there and she will be more prepared next time.

Gotta love those moments! It could have been worse, like she could have said something naughty or embarassing about your family.

One time this kid in primary told everyone that his dad chased him mom around the house naked with a belt!

I agree with the comment that it could have been worse.

When are you going to Gilmer again?

I think she is a brave girl to face all of the people. She will be ready for the next time!
I wish I were there to see it cause it would have made me laugh- thinking it was cute....
