The children were nestled all snug in their beds...

...well...Aunt Emily would likely think differently! This year Emily snuggled between Jack and Brooklyn on a blow up mattress in Jack's room and likely got little sleep. We put the child lock door on the inside so Jack wouldn't sneak out like he always does...and prayed that he would stay there the WHOLE night! Emily was a trooper...thank you!!! Sherree and Bill slept over too and stayed in Brooklyn's room and we had quite a GREAT Christmas. Santa must've thought we were all pretty good this year.

Here are Brooklyn's goodies on the left and Jack's on the right.

And here they come bright and early at 6:15 a.m.! Jack has a door closing problem...he has to close every door before he leaves and left Emily inside the room!

Brooklyn's favorites that Santa left...her very own PINK Ipod! She also got an Easy Bake Oven, Globe, and Tag reader with books

Jack got his train...a race car set...a bike...a motorcycle...and a Handy Manny motorcycle.

Brooklyn checking to see if Santa ate her cookies. She was really worried and left him a note the night before because Jack took a bite out of one of the cookies before he went to bed :)

This picture is hard to tell what is going on...but Joel went to show Brooklyn that Santa's reindeer ate her reindeer food that she left...there were even some sprinkles that made it on the roof.

Sherree lost her diamond our of her wedding ring a few years ago and Bill surprised her with a bigger one this year for Christmas. He wrapped it in several boxes like Grandpap (Sherree's dad) did for Grandmother (Sherree's mom) when he gave her a ring at Christmas. He was so excited and Sherree was even more excited! So sweet!

One of Joel's favorite gifts...and signed Manu Ginobili jersey from Bill. He is already bugging me to frame it! :)

Brooklyn telling Aunt Emily about her loot!

Joel and his 22 that he said is a must for his growing gun collection!

This leads to the exhausting end! How sweet is it that Brooklyn fell asleep (in Jack's bed for some weird reason) after all the playing that morning and Jack had to walk in to give her a kiss! I love them!

We had a lovely morning. We ate cinnamon rolls and sausage balls. I made my grandmothers wassail that we love and it was so nice and relaxing! Oh...you want to know what I got...check out the couch in the picture with all the goods and the blinds behind Brooklyn when checking out the Santa cookies! I must have been a good girl too! Thank you to everyone!

I love all of the pictures! I can't decide of Christmas was better as a kid or if it is better now as a parent watching our own kids?! Happy New Year!

Although I got very little sleep...it was a great time and I loved that I got to nestle in with the little ones. We had fun singing Christmas Carols and trying hard to listen for Santa and his reindeers. Jack was asleep first and didn't move the whole night, except to snuggle in closer. Brooklyn on the other hand tossed and turned like she always does. Sleeping with 2 cuddle bugs is kind of nice, at least once every other year! :)
