Hammer Time!

Tonight was our sister school rival against the Wagner Thunderbirds. It was also the first time in our new stadium and of course we were visitors! That was really annoying, but next week for homecoming we will be nice and cozy on OUR side! YIPPEE! For those that don't know this stadium has been a crazy mess! We are 4 million OVER budget and it was suppose to be completed BEFORE the season, but obviously since tonight was our first game it was NOT! But now no more complaining (except parking is a MESS)!!! So for the game, we went into half time 21-0 us and I was feeling pretty good! I was just wanting to SHUT them out at this point. But we fumbled and fumbled and fumbled! The final score ended up being 28-21 us, but man I was about to have a HEART ATTACK! I didn't know if we were going to win until the buzzer went off. I really like to ENJOY the fourth quarter by having a really cushioned lead, but it wasn't happening tonight. Judson ISD has started the tradition of the HAMMER. The winner of the game between the 2 schools receives the hammer. We lost it to Wagner last year, so we were out for it tonight! The boys were so excited and Joel took the camera in the locker room for a few pics. Until next week...Whoop Whoop Judson Rockets!!
